Lynne Higgs is an emerging Australian artist, illustrator-writer.

Whilst best known for her children’s e-books, Lynne has diversified more recently as an artist and has a unique portfolio, which includes pencil & charcoal sketches, water colours, acrylics and oils.

Lynne explains “Oils offer a certain luminosity which can enhance the subject matter” much of which is captured through her more recent nature series.

Lynne has gained a Diploma in Visual Arts from Northbridge College (Sydney) and has completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Visual Culture from Curtain University (W.A).

Having travelled extensively in Australia and overseas, Lynne’s interest in art has evolved as she often draws on her cultural experiences which are reflected throughout her artworks and are accessible to a broad audience.

Several of Lynne’s current works focus on ocean scenes, sunrises and sunsets capturing the magical moments of the day on the shorelines of the east coast of Australia.
